Using Peer Benchmarks to Address Concerns About Your Association’s Investment Reserves
Association staff can struggle to provide objective information in response to volunteers’ concerns about how much to hold in reserve, investment performance and fees, asset allocations, and other policies. First launched in 2012, the Study on Nonprofit Investing for Associations (SONI – Associations) is a peer benchmarking survey designed to help associations bring clarity, transparency, and accountability to investing.

This session reviews the results from the 2021 SONI – Associations Survey. Following this session, you’ll have data to address questions such as:

• Why is our investment performance so lackluster?
• Why do we have so much invested in bonds and cash?
• Are our fees too high?
• What’s the likely impact of investing with ESG restrictions?
• Do we have enough in reserves?

Join us Wednesday, September 29th at 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. ET.

Attendees will receive 1 CAE Credit toward their initial certification or renewal.
