Welcome everyone! Where are you joining from?

31:25
Just to make everyone smile today. As we wait for the webinar to start, my huge orange cat, Rob Thomas, is making tons of noise playing with a marble in the tub!

Good (east coast) afternoon to everyone!

35:31
Not the murder hornets!! lol

39:52
All too often, branding = logos. I often see extensive branding guidelines that don’t include voice and tone, so I appreciate your perspective.

40:31
@Hilary, agreed!

41:22
@Hilary - yes!

42:51
Yes, the website is not your brand. It's a tool to communicate and express the brand.

46:23
love this visual!

52:05
Could you please offer some compelling reasons we can share with board members to make the case for bringing in an outside agency to help with especially a reboot?

54:42
Internal communications is so key! These efforts often need to happen if an association isn’t having the kind of impact with current and potential members that it really wants to. That message might be hard for a board to hear, but if the effort makes a positive difference, the board can feel like the heroes

55:01
And an outside perspective is key

57:29
The "curse of knowledge" is real. You are dealing with your organization and what its mission on a daily basis. The outside audience comes in with fresh eyes, ears,,and perspective. Boards also tend to listen to the outside voice.

58:24
I completely agree with what @nicole just said. You can’t unknow what you know

59:27
For those that are trying to get their board to understand what brand is and the value of brand, you may find this document helpful. It was created specifically for a client to speak to their board. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1CXsgTS-iLTdjLvN-6CsEtMz8YzatJKww/view?usp=sharing

Keeping control of your brand is hard!

01:00:16
Policing the guidelines can be a full-time job.

01:03:44
Agree 100% on buy-in and the time it takes internally for the process and implementation. It's not over after launch.

01:04:22
I love the brand work here! Well done. Beautiful.

01:05:31
Wow so pretty!

The lovely branding framework here would definitely help shape and focus people’s thinking. So good!

01:06:37
can we get a copy of the slides?

01:13:37
Laura and Lilia, how do you address tone/voice within the brand guidelines?

01:17:52
Good point about the work begins once the brand guideline is done.

01:18:02
Were people explicit that you couldn't touch the butterfly?

01:20:12
Could you not hear me? I was unmuted.

01:20:15
So sorry
